The Smithfield Apartment, Belfast's Cathedral Quarter

Although we weren't impressed with the cleanliness on this stay we would 100% stay here again! Positive: Location of these apartments is GREAT as is the size of the property (we stayed in apartment 4). A very comfortable apartment to stay in with everything you need. Negative: The apartment is very 'tired' and requires a refresh as lots of marks on walls/flooring. Also simple things like the toilet roll holder broken and not replaced is such an easy fix. Unfortunately the biggest issue for us was the cleanliness. Everything in the kitchen area was grubby/sticky including the inside of the fridge so we had to clean before we could use anything. The bathroom also required a wipe down before we were comfortable using it. The last note on the cleaning is that there was a big mark/stain on the leather sofa which we really weren't sure what it was(!) but a wipe with a wet wipe got it off immediately and therefore I would expect this to be done by the cleaning staff as you couldn't miss it!

Our stay was just ok. Wouldn't recommend for overseas travellers with plenty of luggage. Positive: Location good. In easy walking distance to city, cafes and pubs. Negative: Lift not working. Had to traipse up 6 flights of narrow steps with 3 suitcases 🥵😡 Messaged contact at Fitzrovia immediately upon arrival. No response. Lift looked like it has been out of order for some time. We were not advised that lift inoperable. Would not have booked it if we had known. Property not well maintained. Foyer was dirty and unkempt.

Positive: Me gustaron mucho las instalaciones y la ubicación es muy buena. Negative: El ascensor no funcionaba y parecía estar fuera de servicio desde hace tiempo. Son muchos pisos para subir por escalera con equipaje.

Great location and easy access but the sofa bed was in a terrible state and really needs changed.

Great stay overall. Positive: The location was amazing and the apartment really beautiful. Negative: There was a gas smell during our last night and I could not sleep because I was afraid that was dangerous. Hopefully everything was ok. However this is something that needs to be checked. Also the elevator was broken but we were aware of this.
